Slovenia Vacation Photos #9 – Slap Savica
In May of 2010, I went on a trip to Slovenia with my dad and my sister. These are some of the pictures I took during my trip.
This is a picture of Savica Waterfall (Slap Savica in Slovenian) in Triglav National Park. The Savica River is fed by lakes higher up in the mountains and flows underground before bursting through the cliff side at this location. Getting to the waterfall is quite a hike, but when I turned the final corner on the trail and saw it for the first time I was literally awestruck. This picture really doesn’t do the waterfall justice; no picture ever could. It has to be seen and heard and felt to get the full impact.
This is the last picture I am planning on posting, but if there is something else from my trip that you would like to see, feel free to ask in the comments and I’ll see if I can accommodate your request.
