"Trick is to not get bit! Haha!" -Zyth when asked the best way to tame wolves.

It's natural for the gnollish clans on Norrath to befriend and tame wolves, for whatever purpose it might be. More often than not, the process of taming and befriending creates a bond unbreakable between wolf and gnoll. Perhaps it is because both races share similar social structures or are both canine in appearance, but who's to say? All that's known is that wolves and gnolls alike have cooperated efficiently since the dawn of time. Mucktail, Darkfell, Blackburrow, all practice the art of taming and befriending wolves. Of course, none seem to do it nearly as well as the Mucktail clan, though the Darkfell are a close second. Zyth Quickpaw does not believe in harsh punishments or cruel practices when taming even the most fierce and savagely feral of any wild wolf on Norrath. Having obedience through fear and cruelty makes for a poor pet, much less a friend. Despite the spear and whip he carries, Zyth often wields nothing at all, showing his intent of friendship as opposed to harm. Of course, just in case, he does wear protective chain armor over his torso just in case a wolf isn't too receptive of him at first. Among his sect of the wide and large clan, none seem to tame and befriend wolves with such effectiveness and quickness as Zyth. Perhaps Zyth Quickpaw was born with a gift to commune with the wolves of the wild, as if he were a druid? He doesn't think that. He just simply thinks he was destined to run with the pack, and why shouldn't he think that? His naturally affinity for Norrath's wolves had given the clan strong and formidably-loyal allies and watchers.
