There's a nightmare fuel painting I'm working on (and it's a challenge) for a friend. He detailed the worst nightmare he had to me once, and he described these crow-like things dragging him down into a void. I thought it would be cool if there were crows whose feathers turned into hands, so that's where this sketch came from.

Abyss Draggers are very persistent when they find someone or something to latch onto. Each of their shadowy hands are deathly cold to the touch and suck onto a person like they're a vacuum, but they also give a prickling sensation that's very unpleasant.

I imagine they're roughly human sized. 4-5 feet tall.
