You know what, I wanna know, why was Greymatter not more popular? Ever since I was a kid, what ten aliens you'd choose to have if you had an Omnitrix was always a popular conversation in Ben 10 fandom, and only more and more so the longer the franchise went on for and the more aliens got introduced. Since my elementary school days where Ben 10 was to me what Ninja Turtles was to kids in the 80s, I've gone through countless revisions to my preferred Omnitrix roster, (my current one is Heatblast, XLR8, Greymatter, Upgrade, Ghostfreak, Waybig, Alien X, Clockwork, Gravattack, and Pesky Dust) I've had many aliens from the franchise come on and off this totally useless and arbitrary list that only really exists as a conversation starter that only works on other dorks like me. But the three that were constant, that no matter how many times I revised the list they would always be on there, were Upgrade, Ghostfreak, and Greymatter, and I can't tell you how many times I'd have this conversation and hear something like "why Greymatter? That one's useless," and it's like...were we watching the same show? Forget all the times that Greymatter totally came in clutch, he unlocked the master control in one of the Ben 10,000 episodes, unlocking master control is as simple as just doing it as Greymatter, the only reason Ben never unlocked the master control again at any other point in the series prior to it ending is just because he never thought to try it. Greymatter is, like, the FIRST alien you'd want on an Omnitrix roster.

I bet Nick from fifth grade feels pretty stupid right now
