I made it a policy to never get excited for a game release.
Honestly, all I've seen are pre-rendered videos, it's done by square enix and edios, both which have had shoddy quality products as of late.
This way, if the game is shit, it was expecting it, if it's not, I'm surprised.

I've played starcraft allot, I have friends who swear by it, and they always needed someone on their team. I just find the game badly balanced, the unit selection is menial, the unit cap is tiny, the controls are awkward, the path finding is weak. Only thing that saves it for me is it doesn't take long to have a fully working base and units pumping out to blow the shit out of each other.

It really depends on where you send your units that effects their path. You could go far ahead on the map and select a spot for them to go, and naturally they will go the long way, or you could lead them the shorter path yourself. And the fast units and unit cap work hand to hand. Not very fun to build a huge ass force that takes up half the screen, then over powering your opponent with it to end the game quick. Best to have some form of balance.
