Well done on the design, interesting to see a color scheme outside of the purple-blue all the official art's had.

Ahh, I’m glad she was recognizable even with the anatomy licenses! I wanted to go with a more alien look for her, and I’m glad it paid off. ;;

My current idea is that Earth-Andalites are reeeeally on-board with the different style trends humans have, especially colored hair, and actually genetically modify their fur color to be (temporarily or permanently) dyed. Otherwise, perhaps a diet of Earth grass could cause different colors to appear in them? It’s a work in progress!

I definitely played more fast and loose with the anatomy! They’re more like this canonically, but I wanted to do a more alien/less-Earth centaur look for them since they are, well, aliens! I have drawn another Andalite more similar to canon form (here) but I’ll probably change up his anatomy a bit to be more in line with what I did with this reference. ^v^

Wtf though, I really like your interpretation of andalites! I for real thought this was some animorphs deep lore version of them, you did an excellent job of making them look more otherworldly. I love how believable alternate fur colors are for earth dwelling andalites, too, especially Pheebs... like maybe she's got xanthism from her earth diet or something. Super cool

I would LOVE if the creators saw and liked these depictions I’ve made, but they’re definitely more of my lore than deep lore unfortunately. I just thought it would be an interesting look, and explain how the arms are often described as not being visible except for up close.

I’d definitely believe that! I’m not sure exactly how her diet on earth would turn her orange, but I’ll work out the details later to the best of my ability. I’m sure that genetically altering your fur color (if not just simply dyeing it) would be popular with Andalites exposed to human fashions!
