Meet Skylar's rival: Vanna Black! Raised in a... less than ideal home, she spent a lot of time wandering in the streets of Viridian City simply to avoid being at home. She quickly got picked up by a local vandalist gang. After only a little while, they (ironically) became better parents than her actual parents. They may be listed criminals, but they were actually nice people. Regardless, she quickly gained a knack for miraculously charming her way out of pretty much any situation, to the point of being called a "cop charmer," as well as shoplifting and pickpocketing.

One day, she decided that a Pokémon would be nice to have around. After successfully shoplifting a few Pokéballs and a couple Potions, she headed off into Viridian Forest. She stumbled upon a Pikachu being abused by Team Rocket, before being abandoned. She healed the Pikachu and caught it, and thus she had her first partner...
