Ivory and Ebony - a single day in the life
Made in LBP3.
a Story of a single day in the double-life of Follow Me, I Have A Spare Space In My Den's mothers, Ivory and Ebony Rainbow-Heartshine. told in four parts.
also, I pretty much officially implemented the necklaces from Mojo1985's fanart of Ivy and Eb. in story, they were a gift from their husband, the late False Prophet, but he never was able to give them to the twins on account of him being killed by Twitch Streamers. Ivy and Eb found the necklaces one day while moving furniture around, and they've worn them ever since.

Well, as demonstrated in this comic, they do get on each other's nerves, and they often bicker over the smallest things. But all and all, I'd say Yes- about as much as a pair of siblings who have spent just about the entirety of their lives together would.
... However, if you're asking THAT question, all I can say is Ivory would've taken that night- and many others- to her grave if Ebony wasn't such an oblivious blabbermouth...

lol, first of all, the age difference really is only by three seconds. as far as Ivy is concerned, she and her sister are the exact same age- no older or younger sister, and Eb saying she's older is just her trying to eke out some pointless, unwarranted superiority.

Plus, I guess that would make for a pretty good idea; give people an idea of what their relationship was like back when they were kids who spoke completely in unison...

Perhaps, but for the most part, Ebony really is as dumb as a post.
Lemmie put it this way; Ebony's first words to her parents that weren't in unison with Ivory were about how she and Ivy kissed and touched each other last night. RIGHT AFTER Ivory MADE HER PROMISE not to ever tell another soul about it. There was no malicious intent in Ebony breaking that promise- she just genuinely didn't see anything wrong about it.
Then years later, Ebony would dampen a washrag in irradiated water without Ivory ever noticing, and used it to clean their six year-old son's face with it. You really think FM,IHASSIMD was Born with wonky eyes and a moustache?
Granted, that latter incident would become the greatest shame of her life, even if FM,IHASSIMD immediately fell in love with his new face once it stopped burning.
Needless to say, Ivy does sometimes use the description affectionately, but let there be no shadow of a doubt that Eb has more than Earned it...!

Oh you know; pay the bills (their Landlord doesn't know how to landlord, so she can regularly haggle out of paying the full rent),
try to keep Eb out of doing stupid shit (keyword: TRY),
make sure they make it to their regular doctor appointments on time- by force if she has to.
Basically everything that braintrust of an Espeon cannot be counted on to do right. Or at all, in the case of the doctor appointments.

What does Ebony do? Well for one example, she's the only one of the two who can use their hind legs. Ivory is basically paraplegic on her own, she has to rely on her sister to get around. Which is frustrating whenever she needs to take Eb someplace she doesn't wanna go, or keep her from wandering into places they're not supposed to be...
When they get on each other's nerves, which is on a pretty regular basis, it takes about an hour, tops, before they get back to being on speaking terms again. A little more than that if they get violent.
But that's when they're alone. with friends, family, or just neighbors, they make nice much quicker since they can't have people thinking they're a dysfunctional wreck.
The only people they can be around where they can get heated with each other without fear of looking bad is their son and adopted daughter; FM,IHASSIMD and ShinyThing II. simply because they already know that their moms are a dysfunctional wreck- That's what makes their relationship endearing!

Ebony does see Ivory as her little sister (Ivy would disagree because a brief three seconds difference does not an older and younger sibling make.) she only ever tries to pull rank on Ivory when she thinks it suits her interests. She is literally too stupid to understand how doing that to Ivory of all Pokemon could backfire on her. Otherwise, the two do consider each other as equals.
