Dexter is being curious about how those visors actually looking like from the inside. And also how a Protogen would see the world through the glass. Some say it would be like wearing sunglasses covering the whole face. Other say, in the visor there are screens which are turning on and show your surroundings. The kobold has to find it out! But like everyone else before, it transforms him into one of those cute beep boopers. And as it seems like that the friendly shark experienced something similar before too.
Another day in March, another birthday and so another gift. Today it is
dexter.98's turn! He's transforming in a small TF sequence into a good Protogen. But also, a known orange shark with horns and a collar seems to be alternated too. :3

In actuality, the visor "screen" is their face. Its made of nanites actually. From what I read on the official design sheet Protogen are a bit more organic than synthetic (unlike their more artificial brethren the Primagen who are sadly a closed species) actually still eat so that "screen" shifts to create a mouth allowing them to eat things.

Primagen are 70% Synthetic while Protogen are only 40% Synthetic.
Closed species are a real pain...even Protogen have rules to creating them because some traits like having three sets of ears, or more than four limbs and a tail requires you to pay the creator...

Yapp. The whole Primagen and Protogen lore and designs are very interesting. As you said, sadly a lot of cool stuff is closed or has to be adopted if you want an official. I think the unofficial ones are called "illegal" in the lore, not entirely sure.
Keep in mind, it is just a TF artwork. Both of us are no permanent Protogens and we are only TFed for the sake of this artwork and its fun. ^^
