So, it's been a couple of years since I even touched my tablet. A friend of mine has poked me about drawing anything without any effort of asking for results, just draw for the sake of it, and since I've been in love with World of Warcraft's Vulpera, well... I tried to doodle them. And this is the result of my WoW RP character from WyrmrestAccord-US, Trifle!
I doodled, yes, and after a couple of attempts in trying to figure out shapes and stuff again, I went to practice eyes and... Well... I think the result speaks for itself. I love my tiny little rogue to bits, and I think this is a very good representation of hers. And I think my will to draw has rekindled.
I think the most important lesson that I needed to learn, and I hope I can make it stick for a little while, is to not focus on the result, but focus on learning something new, and using it. If you want to learn how to draw brows, have fun drawing brows. Eyes, hands, arms, coloring, shading, whatever. Just focus on drawing that, and have fun LEARNING that. Focusing on the end result is a trap, because it implies on failure, and if you're like me who sees a bad drawing you do and consider it a failure, your motivation will be crushed. Draw for the sake of drawing. Draw for yourself. Draw without caring how your art will turn out.
