Hmm... I've been wondering when will you paint like this: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/550047/ again... I really liked the old pictures.
Artists are allowed to evolve and change. The day an artist stops changing and branching out and experimenting and learning is the day they should put down the pencil and move onto something else. It's great you liked her old stuff but you honestly can't expect an artist who loves their craft to forever do the same thing. If you are unable to continue to appreciate her art as it evolves, then I would suggest you quietly unwatch her and continue on your way. Posting stuff like this is pretty thoughtless. :/
Uh, wow. Yeah it's time for you to unwatch if you can't see the skill and work she continues to put into her pieces. She won't be going back to cutesy furry stuff. She still does marker work from time to time, but she's finally embracing her true passion in drawing scary monsters and the like, for which I applaud her, so if you're holding out hope for furry stuff, time to move along.
I dunno, this one was pretty scary: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/263251/ I'm not talking about cutiness or something, just technique which is just poorer than in the past. I see you're a great follower, not seeing any bad things about the artist you like.
Ky is a professional artist. She does not often have the time anymore to sit down and spend hours and hours and hours on a color piece just for fun, as she used to. So what we see is what she has time to work on between her other work. Typically what she does for fun is just sketches, rough pencil work. And yeah, I'm defensive of her because I've seen her be treated like crap way too many times by the people in this fandom. I also think her work is amazing, and have enjoyed how it has changed and evolved since the moment I first discovered it.
Again, if you no longer enjoy it, it's time to - watch and move on.

Um. First of all - i think that you're one of those 'followers' who would do everything to please the GREAT ARTIST in hope of free artwork. Correct me if I'm wrong but it seems that's the case since you defend her in a such knightly manner. So if you wold be so kind and stop articulating your thoughts as if they were artists, who is the subject of Hufnaars comments. Thank you.
As for the topic of this lame discussion. I think everyone has a right to say whatever they like about artwork, music and other creative works. It's normal and quite healthy when an artist has not only a group of shallow and empty minded followers who only add every piece of art (or crap) that fled from under the creators pencil. That's retarded. Yes, some people know Kyoht as an furry artist and want her to draw more furry art. That's quite understandable, taking for consideration that everyone has, our beloved, freedom of speech. The artist can ignore those ugly and offensive remarks about the quality of his works - what Hufnaar did.
So. I think that nobody wants to unwatch her. Only someone had the guts to say, that those WOW artworks are, to say it politely, a regress from the former shape, to some crappy line arts. It's not about that they're not furry. They're just ugly and are far more lame, than previous great and detailed artworks that Kyoht got us used to.
Followers. Just shut up and don't be so full of donkey turd and let artists speak for themselves. And stop with that 'of i love your style, don't dare to question the greatness of my godlike favorite artist's'. That's childish and retarded. As all of the part off furry fandom which is in a fucking rage every time someone says something true but unpleasant making the fandom look like a bunch of suck-ups.

Oh. I forgot. About that professional artist stuff. Sorry, but that's the first time that someone told me, that a professional artist, who lives from drawing or painting puts in his (or hers) portfolio (witch this furrafinity account certainly is) low grade artwork. I always thought that portfolios consist of only the best artworks. Well. I was wrong - and that's a comment to you, not her, considering that i don't know her opinion about Hufnaars comment.
If any artist is using a website called 'furaffinity' as a professional art portfolio, I'd have to say they're doing it wrong.
This place is for Ky to put whatever artwork she wants-- from super detailed professional illustration, to fanart, to fun silly sketches that show she's a human being and does, indeed, have a personality. Shame on anyone that thinks the artists need to bow to the masses and please them. Art for art's sake is how it should be-- I'm glad my friend decides to share anything at all with people after the shit she puts up with from this 'community.'

your giving your two cents on the art / artist, they are giving theirs. it's pretty much an open discussion unless moved to pm. i think it's fair enough to say you prefer the older style, but don't see the need to be insulting. calling the newer works ugly and lame isn't the most constructive criticism. besides, something tells me kyoht wasn't trying their hardest with this scraps image.
This made me smile <3
The drama less so :b Here's my two cents, for the heck of it:
1) An artist has the right to post whatever they like. They're not working for their fans, they're working professionally, or for fun. Sometimes they do stuff that we, as fans, don't like to see, but it happens.
2) A viewer does have the right to say whatever they like in response to that art: however! A non-constructive criticism is almost always inappropriate or rude. Despite this being a public place, you wouldn't go up to someone on the street (another public place) and say, "Hey, you're really bloody ugly. Gross." So why go up to an artist and say, "Your art is lame and hideous." I'd say it's acceptable to make the remark, "I miss your old art, I thought it was more skillful and aesthetically enjoyable than your new art," but to simply say, "Your new art sucks," is entering the realm of you simply being a douchebag that had to open your mouth.
You don't have to like all of an artist's stuff. You can, in fact, dislike some of their stuff! You can even say, "I don't care for this much, actually!" But Christ, guys, there's a difference between expressing your thoughts and opinions and being a dick.
So yeah, all for Kyoht posting whatever the heck she pleases, and all for fans liking or disliking it as they please, but not being socially challenged retards about it.
