I was able to attend my first AnthroCon this year, and well, it was as amazing as it was overwhelming. Everything from the sublime to the ridiculous and beyond.
Since I didn't (and won't) have a fursuit or any critter accoutrements, I can't draw for shit, and my main function at AC was craft-beer-courier, I brought along a couple steel test panels coated with automotive refinish paint from my place of business for a feeble attempt at show'n'tell.
This one was a sweet copper flake. As I showed it around, Artdecade naturally asked if he could draw on it. And a kool one-of-a-kind souvenir was born!

phylum, this quiet dude who turned out to be
voln, and
defender
Thanks everyone!
Image note: My ancient scanner is no longer supported in Windows 7 (boo) so I had to take a bunch of photos until I had one with tolerable artifacts - difficult with a a shiny and sparkly surface.

XD Now I have to remember to tote around my undergrad thesis or something like that when I get to go to these.
We used to do something like that during some AnthroAsia meets, where everyone had to draw something on the Meet Pad. (even if it's just a dinner napkin, hah.) Most of 'em headshots/busts.

This happened to me a couple of months ago, picked up a replacement when I was in the capital. "Why didn't you pick one up back home?" Well, only the Canon LiDEs used a single USB cable for both power and data, and I'm picky about that stuff[s] like a prissy bitch[/i].

> Bring your own marker, too.
(During meets, I'd usually be the one with a caseful of pencils/pens and a blank sketchbook.)
> For a reason I can't remember, someone said to me: "You and your goddamned tentacles!" The rest naturally follows.
...and lead up to this thing: http://www.furaffinity.net/full/3109967/
