Kaul grinned, dashing into an old sandstone structure, just enough wall to take cover from whoever the adversary happened to be. Thinking back on what his mentor had taught him, it seemed abundantly clear now, then. There were ways to identify what kind of fighter an individual was, you just had to look.. Glancing around, the world around him seemed stable, all together, the sand on his hands and feet a bitter reminder of the heat of the waking world. So, no Dreamweaver, then. If they were an ascendant, they probably would've been more direct.... On the opposite end, he couldn't see any trap like runes scrawled into the ruins. So it had to be Magic, or an aspect...
He thought back to the sudden attack at the sand dunes, a glint of light, and something like a spear bolted past him and the rest of his party before they'd scattered.
Kaul had finally caught up, and he'd smirk once more, conjuring a flame in his paw.
Well, it was time, then.
