This is one of the most beautiful uses of traditional media I've ever laid my eyes on, no exaggerations. You are such an incredible artist; truly I'm blown away at the background. I LOVE how it's not oversaturated in colour and looks so realistic!
May I ask you, how did you attach the characters to the canvas? I'd be afraid of gluing it and having the characters ripple O.O

About the character attachement thing - I don't know if I understood correctly, but they are not separately drawn and glued to the canvas, I drew them normally with ink etc on the paper with the whole background :)
