It's been about 14 months since my last goggles concept, and about 12 months since I hated it and wanted to make another one. I've made a few attempts over time but they never really came around properly.
HIGH RESOLUTION WOO
Then yesterday I started making this, and it came out quite well :D
BAT OS 10.4
* New interface: Much less intrusive than the old one. However it's similar in the sense that it's operated through a combination of eye-level focusing and cybernetic-brain-thinking-ness.
* Augmented reality: I look at things, and it can tell me stuff about them. Taddah!
* Menus: They're new. The things on the top-left all bring up other menus and contextual thinguses. From left to right: Research (search, Interwebs, various databases), Retrieval (scans, analysis of things, stuff like that), Repair (maintenance, settings).
* Satellite navigation: The stuff on the bottom left. The several concentric circles do something, I'm just not sure what.
* Internal mechanical/biological monitoring: All those things on the top-right there keep an eye on what's going on inside the body and it's various cybernetic components. Flagging them up (and making note on the left) if any anomalies appear.
* A clock: Who needs watches?
* Raw code: That tiny text going along the bottom. It doesn't typically serve any practical use, but it can be useful for manual diagnosis of any issues.

I think you'll be amused at how close we are to actually having this sort of thing.
Augmented reality is already a... reality (Wow D:)
My only issue with the whole deal at the moment is how close to one's eyes the screens are for the heads up display. There's some issues that need to be fixed there.
