
A gentle reminder: Waffles are awesome.
Cranberry Tea, after finding out that she had a gluten allergy, went many years without taking in their syrupy, crunchy Cartesian greatness. She did occasionally embrace the forbidden breakfast treat, but only in moments of weakness and shame. Oh how they did tempt her!
And then a miracle happened. This stuff. You can use it to make anything, and we started out by making pancakes, but it is amazing for waffles. AMAZING.
Soon after, we got a waffle iron and were churning out waffles left and right. Everything was waffles. Waffles for breakfast, sandwiches made with waffles for lunch, waffles for dinner. Sometimes with chocolate chips. Sometimes with a whole EGG cooked right into it. It was a good time, it was the Age of the Waffle.
Our love for waffles has never waned, but we have scaled back our waffle consumption somewhat. At least once a week, we still get out the waffle iron to continue the tradition, and it doesn't matter what meal it's for. You just gotta have some waffles.

Yeah! Heat up your iron, pour the batter around the outer portion of the iron (usually, you pour it in the middle), let it cook a minute, open, crack and egg in the middle, close it, wait for it to finish, TADA!
The egg will get a little tough if you overcook it, so I do it this way. =3
