Sometimes being a shapeshifter with mutliple cases of emotional baggage can be a real problem and it takes more than a hug to fix that, Nathan had a dark and tragic past of being vilified for things he didn't even do and he himself vilified others for avoiding him based on how he treated people he liked or considered to be his friends, it made him feel paranoid and a little bit worried. Like what if everyone he ever befriended just only did it to pretend to like him because they know he's going to screw them over? He was a tragic figure and he had sides of him which he hated, not even having a new bestie made him feel better, because he knew it was going to screw it up. One night Matteo came to visit Nathan hoping to try and make him feel better, Nathan was in his apartment that night.
"Hey ya buddy, I came here to help you."
"I doubt you'll be able to."
"Aaaaw come on don't be mr negative."
"I'm sorry Matteo, I love you but my heart isn't big enough for you to be in."
"What about if I was Sulley or Tug?"
"Not even if you turned into your lovey-dovey characters and attempted to hug me."
"But hugs and love solve everything."
'Not everything, i'm not saying you shouldn't be so lovey-dovey all the time..it's just, there are some people that can't be cured of what ails them. I love your hugs and everything, but hugs cannot cure what lurks within me.' 'What lurks within you? Is it a were-animal or monster?' 'A tragic monster lurks within me and you should be very respectful of that.' 'But maybe I can cure you and make you better.' 'No, you can't.' Nathan sighed as he looked out the window, the moon was starting to come out from behind the cloud.
"There there...it's okay."
"No it's not. You don't know how I feel."
Matteo attempted to soothe his friend but Nathan panicked as he hurried over to the corner of his study, he didn't have to worry about keeping secrets with his new bestie around but this was one secret he would have gladly kept hidden if he knew what had happened, he began to feel unwell as his stomach gurgled. He had been having this sensation for as long as he could remember, he remembered how it felt to transform for the first time and how it felt for him to be what he was, a tragic were-celebrity. That feeling always made him like he had to hide it from the others in the city. He started to itch a little bit, and as he did he pulled back his sleeves to reveal brownish hairs slowly covering his arms, this wasn't fur by any means but still a lot of hair, as the hairs also grew on his hands.
His arms broadened and lengthened as his hands enlarged, his skin slowly began to clear up a little as the hairs from before slowly coated his chest and also on his stomach, the latter did lengthen a bit as his body became a little bit more limber/athletic, the former contorted and lengthened as well...the hairs slowly coated his legs as his feet grew a little bit, in addition to this he felt unnaturally energetic but stil llike he was a tragic figure and like he oculd relate to the Hunchback of Notre Dame. He slowly rose up a little in height but remained at 5'7 as his shoudlers and back broadened. He gasped as his neckline lengthened, turning a darker shade of brown as his brow and forehead altered, his eyes widened and turned from brown to a shade of blue that gave him an aura of innocence.
He couldn't help but be oddly entranced to this process, he always got addicted to the feeling of transforming into someone else, he chuckled as his nose lengthened a little and his features slowly morphed and contorted themselves...becoming those of a well-known tragic comedian, specifically those of Robin Williams as his jawline altered and his chin jutted out a little, in addition to this he gained a little bit of facial scruff but not too much as his voice deepened and took on a low-timber, becoming a bit more masculine but also jovial and full of different emotions as his transformation reached near completion, that's when he started to remember...the dream he had in which he was possessed by Robin's ghost, he was horrified at first and it was very painful...he hadn't become Robin before and the transformation process scared him, making him feel like he was going to end up going bad, he had formed a bond with someone on Facebook who was a Robin devotee.
In that dream...it felt quite alien to be Robin, he often wondered how Robin kept himself from going crazy with all those voices in his head and some of those voices didn't agree with him. Then he realized the dream turned out to be real, he remembered Robin's ghost possessing him prior to the dream and that's when he started to feel odd, he felt ill but he wasn't physically ill at the time. Robin had a way of showing his 'gift' to Nathan, unfortunately whatever pain he felt also was the same pain Nathan felt, especially with close proximity, very much it was a Macbeth and Demona situation as a result of being possessed by him. He yelped a little and let out a scream as his mind and personality altered, making him feel afraid and a little bit like he felt like nobody could understand him. 'I'm Robin, i'm Robin...no, what am I talking about? I'm not Robin Williams, i'm Nathan. He's just in my body and trying to take over, he can't...' 'But come on, can't I come in and hang with you?' 'Robin, get out of me. I'm not you.' 'Oh but you are, don't you like this?' 'You do realize that whatever pain you feel, I also feel, right?'
"I know, but I don't mean for it to be so painful."
"Everything about what happened to you is painful."
"Not everything...just the thought of losing myself including my mind and the feeling of loneliness."
Nathan held onto his head in an attempt to keep 'Robin' from influencing him, but as much as he hated to admit it...he and the comedian had a lot in common, they were both tragic figures and both of them were painfully shy sometimes but were genuniely nice and caring with a bit of a darkside to them, like Robin...Nathan hated to be alone, losing his dearest friend last year was his ultimately wake up call, even though he took this friend - named Cosmina, for granted - and he treated Cosmina unfairly when she decided to leave him, he wished the last Discord conversation he had with her didn't end with her telling him that she sided with Thomas Sheppard, an old rival of his. Why would anyone want to side with Thomas when he was a notorious jerk who was obsessed with making his team-mates as brutish as he was and winning, and being with that vain supermodel known as Stephanie Hadingham who he always questioned why Stephanie was considered attractive or popular, yeah she was athletic but she was shrewd, bossy and just plain bad to hang out with.
He hated how Stephanie stole the attention of his previous group of friends and he hated losing his friends in general, he tried to keep 'Robin' away but ultimately he felt like he had no choice but to give in as his transformation completed, he was no longer himself anymore...he was Robin Williams, Robin felt really foolish and sorry for what he did and for taking over Nathan without permission but Nathan was the only person he could trust, as he knew that Nathan knew a certain Were-Aykroyd who could help him. He hurried out of the study and returned to Matteo. 'Oh hi there, i'm Robin.' 'I'm Matteo.' 'Sorry about what happened back there, i'm a Were-Comedian you see, a very tragic one and as such I am pretty much unhealable.' 'I bet I could heal you.' 'Keep dreaming, maybe it will come true.'
"I wish I could be the one to make you better."
"My heart is big enough for everyone but a only very special were-someone can help me."
"Who is that?"
"Dan, the Were-Aykroyd. I love him so much...he's my one and only."
"Sounds like you love him a lot."
"Oh I certainly do.. And I must go to him...he calls me."
And thus with that 'Robin' left the apartment using some magical teleportation spells and he headed over to the city and he remembered the alleyway in which he had seen the Were-Aykroyd pack, all those Aykroyd characters called to him. 'Hey fellas, have you seen Daniel anyway?' 'You mean our king, why yes we have.' He followed the gang of Aykroyd characters, and he was delighted when he saw Dan lying there, Robin and Dan had a special relationship, both of them being were-celebrities who cared for each-other very much. Dan Aykroyd was always very understanding of him and supported him, and he didn't mind sharing him with others.
"Dan..."
"Robin...you're here!"
"Of course I am, I came for you...it gets lonely without you."
"Oh you know that i'm not too far away."
"Absolutely."
"I love you..."
"And I love you too."
As for what happened....Robin reunited with Dan and bonded with the Were-Aykroyd pack, but he still thought dearly of Matteo, he knew Matteo was trying to be the best friend Nathan could ask for but Robin knew that he would have to teach the shapeshifter a few things and so he booked for Matteo to be part of a series of lessons on friendship he and Mel the koala-girl set up. Robin loved Dan so much and he didn't want him to leave, every time either of them had to leave he felt empty inside, but he knew it wouldn't last long. It never truly did last long.
