Oh, oh oh, this is truly stunning! A wonderful amount of realism, (I thought it was a photograph at first too) but fortunately it isn't so 'technical' that it looks like a hyper-realistic painting (I mean if you're going to be so photorealistic, then just publish the photo you worked off). The blurred background gives it a nice impressionistic feel, so this certainly isn't a simple 'oh look at how well I can render reality' thing, it's just wonderful!
Heh, no composer could ever hope to make music as beautiful as that that exists in nature (I should know). The only man-altered thing in a garden should be a pathway to get out of the house or something small like that, I've always enjoyed the less controlled gardens.
Yes, this is a truly amazing drawing, it really, really is! Brought a huge smile to my face.

Thank you so very much! I always like the keep backgrounds blurred out, I guess it's because I'm a bit lazy, but it works out in my favor so I'm not complaining! I know and airbrush artist that does the most amazing portraits, and he gets scolded all the time for marketing "photos" as "artwork". Then he learned to show some strokes and that took care of itself. So thank you for mentioning that.
I whole-heartedly agree! I hate to use any kind of damaging toxins in my garden, or anywhere on the property. Not only would it drive away or kills the frogs, but it would also kill the beautiful moths, catepillars, butterflies, bees, and spiders. All of which I enjoy seeing every day. So YAY to wildlife preservation! NO PESTICIDES!
