I have had this issue occur with me as well where I took a photo on my mobile device. My guess it has something to do with how the camera always tries to figure what side is up or something like this. On my device, when checking details on the image, I look at the thing that says "orientation" on it. Whenever it says 90°, it may end up being posted sideways or such. I am not much of an expert on this so I may be wrong, that is really all I know.

But besides that, your birdo is quite adorable!
