I heard some tragic news today that this past weekend, one of the first furries I met when attending Further confusion back in 2015, named Avarice in the fur world, passed away after he had a long fight with cancer/leukemia. Too sweet and too damned young for this to happen to him. Here he is with me, his close friend and him in his Lion suit, a photo which I’m so glad I still had on my phone. He was the first to tell me about the furry groups in my home state of Arizona and he’s the reason I was able to join them. As an older furry, I realize that we can’t take life for granted and I loved this guy and his friendly personality, even if he was young enough to be my own son.
