Finally posting something on Fur Affinity after a year!
After reading the book, Imperium Lupi by Adam Browne, I wanted to do some fanart and this one came about.
The ginger cat on the lower left is Montague Buttle while the grey cat is his wife, Penelope Buttle is being pushed by a servant on a swing.
In the book, they are supporting characters. Instead of depicting them in their early 20th century steampunk fantasy setting, I went with a famous 18th century Rococo painting, The Swing by Jean-Honore Fragonard (1767). Here Monty is peaking from a rose bush perhaps admiring the beautiful Penny. The cherub statues are anthro cats to make it feel more fitting as well as the lower right a cricket instead of a dog is peaking from the flowers.
Took me months to get this done (as well as procrastinating) and proud to make this my first fan art piece of the novel.
