~ Creature Lore ~
An uncommon species of dragon, Monarchs are easily identified by their giant feather covered wings and plumed tail. These species of dragons can only be found in dull greyscale, metallic, or earth toned colorations. Their stone-like appearance combined with the fact that their preferred nesting areas include dilapidated buildings and abandoned churches and castles often leads people into mistaking them for gargoyles.

~ Note: I have a statue of a Velkhana in my room that I used as a reference for the pose.
~ I also tried a different brush for my linework this time (I used the Dry Ink Brush.) It gives the dragon a more rugged look.
