Arrangement: Blockbusters UK Theme Medley (1997)
In 1997, BBC Two tried their luck with a modern version of the classic TV game show Blockbusters (originating in 1980 in the United States), but it ran just 60 episodes and didn't fare well with the public. It had a slightly different theme tune than the classic theme tune used in that country, and the theme, plus a few cues, is what I have arranged here.
In order, this is what you hear:
1. Main theme
2. Main game starts
3. Main game is won
4. Gold Run (bonus round) starts
5. Gold Run is won
I used the "small jazz combo" template from MuseScore, so the instruments are as follows:
Trumpet
Alto saxophone
Tenor saxophone
Trombone
Guitar
Piano
Acoustic bass
Drum set
This arrangement (C) me and me alone
Original music composed by Paul Boross
Blockbusters (C) FremantleMedia and everybody else who owns the rights; it was originally a Mark Goodson-Bill Todman Production
