Hello there!
Of course, the title got me interested... since my character's name is "Reptile" and I've often used the simple word "Reptile" on the cover of my graphic novels.
XD
But when I checked the rest and information around this I saw that it's not "my" REPTILE!
^^
Also, thanks for the WATCH and thus you got me interested. ^^
Being a teacher and musician myself I'd like to write you a comment.
The first seconds start very calm and nicely but it goes on a bit too long without any variation. It would've been better to add something around 0:07 already.
The next chord is a bit off (the half tone going up is highly disturbing) but redeems itself when the drums kick in at 0:15 - that is cool part!
The synth sounds and deep bass go on a few seconds till we have a nice addition in 0:30!
Maybe, the synth sound could have even MORE "reverb effect", ya know? Maybe you try adding even more reverb to this synth lead voice.
Then we have a small "break" of some sort between 1:00 and 1:15!
This doesn't really sound good and doesn't work that well because we don't really have a variation from the background style... yeah, most of the style stops but that is not interesting enough.
Maybe, another instrument would've been cool (like a choir) or you just erase all instruments BUT ONE!!!
This would've been better in my opinion.
The main leading melody contains 4 notes and stays mostly on one note which is a tiny bit boring. Like I said, adding more instruments OR changing the melody a bit can help.
If you like short melodies (which is perfectly fine) then I suggest to transpose it 2 or 3 notes... this is always a welcome variation!
As always, these are just ideas, hints and comments... it's my personal point of view. I write from experience and I hope you enjoyed the comment anyway.
This feedback is no meant to harm you personally... it's just a comment to this particular music piece.
Take care, carry on and never stop creating music or any kind of art!!!
