Salvation--but not for you!
A couple of other cartoonists and I got together to create a series of non-canon crossover gags for April Fool's Day. Here's the series in order:

Many thanks to Doc Nickel of The Whiteboard, Mark Stanley of Freefall, and Rae Bruner of Recursion, for contributing to the madness!

The main problem was that only Doc's strip updates on Thursday; and the secondary problem was that most of the strips had ongoing plot lines that don't lend themselves to one-offs. I had to come up with an idea which could stand alone in the context of my comic strip, so that anyone looking at the archive wouldn't "need" the contributing strips for it to "make sense." But at the same time, the contributing strips--which are totally out of their series' continuity--had to contain a narrative flow.
It took a bit of wrangling to get everything in order, and of course at the end of it, my strip became a choke point because I gave them the wrong URL...luckily that got caught and fixed in time!
