Here we have a lovely bit of artwork by
kyrio of Mrs. Montgomery from my upcoming novel Perchance to Dream. Kyrio does good art, check them out! Haven't read PtD? Here's a good place to start!
Monty is a good rabbit! Here is at least three of Monty. I knew from the outset I needed some level of Guide character for the human protagonists, but I also wanted one that didn't detract from them or utterly show them up. They fell together quite nicely when I realized that while Monty can teach the humans how to be magical, the humans can teach Monty how to, well, be a functioning human. The real world can be quite fantastic to someone who's been away from it for too long, and it's good to have friends help you along the way.
Theme Music for Monty! It's quite fitting, and if you haven't read you can enjoy a bit of foreshadowing. If you have read you'll nod and be like "yep that sounds right". It's a great song, regardless.
I admit to being a bit delayed on the last act of Perchance to Dream. I wanted some editor input before I start the final scenes, and then real life hits the editors in the face, and then... the usual yes. Chapter 25 should be coming up soon.
The big delay, meanwhile, comes from a thought I had for something that the TF fandom always clamors for but rarely gets. I'll save the big details for when it hits, but for now know:
* It's a Twine Choose-Your-Own-Adventure, full of rampant TF
* It will be at least 50k words. 45k have already been written, so soon. Soon!
* There are over 80 branch endings, covering a staggering number of tags.

Twine is a simple programming engine for text adventures. You basically open the end game in your browser, and it'll have a page of text with links at the bottom providing choices for the player to make.
Instead of turning to page 32 to [Do the Thing], you click the [Do the Thing] link, and it goes there.
At the moment none of it has touched twine. I have like 46k words in a google doc.
The main benefit of twine is that rather than writing a bunch of long, unconnected stories, I can have a bunch of short TFs that the player interacts with. They can come back whenever they want if they need to take a break, and not go "what page was I on?". It's good for short browsing.
The main benefit for ME is that they can be put on itch.io with a shareware payment on it. Essentially, I highly recommend paying $5 for the game, because it is basically a full length novel of text. However, you are totally free to download it without paying, or play it first and pay later, or pay all the money because you're that one furry who's super rich.
It's a much more elegant method of being able to pay the rent with TF stories.
