personality: Deceit is a very sweet, empathetic mare. She hates conflict and tries to avoid stress as much as possible. She has a strong connection to other ponies’ emotions which relates directly to her cutiemark and special talent. Her talent, safe soul, speaks to her unique type of magic. When she casts spells, glimmering chains rise from her horn and the ground to connect with the target of her magic. Her magic is very powerful, and is sepcialized for altering chemicals and emotions in sentient creatures. This also effects her by making her own emotions outwardly amplified. She can use this magic to manipulate the ponies around her into feeling the way she wants them to, but she tries not to. She tries to mediate during fights without magic because “loud” emotions hurt her head. Because her magic and personality make her emotions quite contagious, she goes out of her way to dilute them. She takes magic suppressants from a young age and wears a horn sheath when she knows she’ll be around ponies. The source of this magical power is both of her parents. Rarity’s distant ancestry has several noble unicorns with traditional tails and strong magic, and Giovanni is an extremely powerful unicorn turned alicorn from another world.
