so you think you know bambi?...well you probably know Disneys Bambi..all cute and loving. Well im in the middle of reading Bambi by Felix Salten, and let me tell you....ITS COMPLETELY DIFFRENT. its unbelievable how much they changed the whole story. now i wont ruin the book but i will tell you, Bambi has an aunt and 2 deer cousins, his own age. there is NO thumper. its friend Hare..who isnt a child. but a grown Hare. bambi's mom is one big Beoooitch.
But anyways this is a scene from the book, bambi and his mother incounter their actuall real relatives (cousins actually), Elk. in the book the Elk are basicly portrayed as, i would have to say the kings or some sort of forest keeper. because they are so much bigger then all the deer. So yea this is when bambi sees the last Elk come out of the forest with his big mane.

so yea anyone who is interested in the real story should read this book. the one i have is 30 years old that i got from a used book store.

note: this aint the great prince!!..its an elk!!!
