More art of characters I haven't drawn in forever, this time featuring Amie.
When I first designed her back in 2015, she was just going to be a one-off and I was just having fun playing with unusual color schemes, but people seemed to like her so she sorta stuck around.
Much like the pudgy blue wolf Jackie, Amie's unusual purple coloration is natural--to justify this in-universe I just decided it's a rare mutation. I'm sure when she was in school she probably got teased a bit for looking like she went swimming in grape juice, though...

The sort of muted purple-gray tint to the fur is rather nice. A lot of people tend to use higher-saturation purples and wind up with more techicolor-ish characters. I think this approach you've got to her works rather well. Depending on the lighting of an area, one may not immediately notice that she's purple, until they're right next to her. And again, it's not like her fur is as purple as her clothing. It's a nice, exotic look that I'm sure those who aren't hung up on "normal" coloration can appreciate.
Thank you very much! I find a lot of people seem to use "bright colors" as a substitute for "interesting characterization" when it comes to character design--her coloration being more muted and subdued makes her stand out a bit, while also still appearing somewhat "natural", so it's got the best of both worlds!
I have yet to really put much effort into her development as a character, though, outside of it being clear that she's some sort of sex worker and not always happy with the way her life is going (most of her art hints at these two things without being too overt), I haven't really done much with her yet.

I recently found an outfit in Second Life that I didn't recall making. It was simply titled "Shade". So, I had a bit of fun figuring out who/what Shade really is and giving him a backstory and purpose. I'll probably upload some pics of him at some point, so I won't spoil too much here. But, just don't call him "patch". The last person to do that got a half-repaired alternator thrown at their face.
