“Becoming a dragon is both my greatest strength, and my greatest curse.”

Sunngifu, though she can be formidable in her own right, hasn’t become a hero without a defining trick up her sleeve. Part of her transformation into a half dragon included a secondary form, one that is much stronger and faster than her default state. But, there is a catch to this powerful form. It comes with a heavy cost.

Sunny fears she may be slowly losing her mind with every transformation.

You see, a human mind was not meant to be melded with a dragon’s- they are vastly different beings, with different experiences and ways of viewing the world. The only reason her clan’s elder allowed such a thing to happen with her and her brother is because he did it to save their lives, and give them a home. He also expected great things from them, making them the clan’s hope for the future. In reality, this second form is dangerous to both her enemies and her own sanity. Being exposed to the mind of a dragon requires a lot of conditioning for a human, and unfortunately for Sunny, she couldn’t fully acclimate due to the disappearance of her clan.

This results in manic episodes while in her draconic form, where she loses control of herself and lashes out at anything within reach. Even innocent people. It normally doesn’t happen frequently, so Sunny never had any reason to be worried about it... until after she began working with the Teen Titans. Slowly but surely, her outbursts have grown more frequent, and stay active for longer. There are only two abilities among the Titans that can calm Sunny while raging- Raven’s empathic powers and Jericho’s possession ability. Without them, sedating Sunny is a difficult task.

Beware the wrath of the dragon... for it is as stubborn as it is powerful.
