Dogera was the monster of the week in ep.24 of the Kotetsu Jeeg anime and was an Beast type Hamiwa Phantom. Appearance wise, Dogera's body was a composition of various creatures; head and tail of Lizard and the armored scaly body of a Giant Pagolin, with the legs of a rat. It had five curved spikes from the top of its head to its back Green sacks for cheeks and a long tongue. Dogera could dissolve (or dig) into the ground, and use its long tongue to grab and toss its enemie; as well had wings folded on the side of its body for propelled flight with missile attach to it, which melt on contact; but its most important feature and principle weapon, was a toxin saliva stored in the green sacks on the cheeks and that come from the tongue, which could turn people and animals into wild and feral, as well melt steel.

A string of attacks occur through the city with people becoming wild after drinking water; this causes suspicions from the local government and citizenry these changes from people may be do to a chemical leakage from Build Base, since all the attackers drank water just before going feral and the Basin that provides drinkable water for the entire city is next to the lab. Dairi informs Hiroshi and Michi that the Water next to the lab is the cause before facing the Environmental Committee in a grueling Inquiry on live Television. Unbeknownst to everyone, all of this is another plot by Himika to force the Lab to surrender the Bell by poisoning the Water, blaming them for it and have the Citizenry turn against them.

As Hiroshi and Michi watch the Inquiry, Prof. Shiba discovers a patch of dead trees close to the Zoo, where Mayumi and Chibi are visiting. Hiroshi goes to investigate, concern for his sister, when a Rhinoceros goes wild and attacks the attendees; Hiroshi transforms and stops the Rhino saving Mayumi and Chibi, allowing them to escape. Hiroshi after a brief fight, tackles the animal. Amaso orders the new Phantom, Dogera to poison the entire Basin; while Hiroshi, Michi and Dairi have talks about the incident in the Zoo, the Beast comes out and beats the MechaDon2, who was keeping guard of the place; the Beast then heads to the Basin, contaminating it a with Purple color toxin, to which Hiroshi bares witness, but spotted by Amaso and (quite in an odd decision) orders Dogera to retreat. The following day, facing protests in the entrance and receiving an angry representatives, Hiroshi presents photographs of the Phantom poisoning the Basin, which they don't believe and demanding they (the lab) admit to the crime.

Side Note: can I express how much it IRKS ME this "oh don't trick us with the monster" gig!!

Like, what the fuck have you people been going through for the last year; wild parade balloon attacks? They are called Monster of the Week for a reason. Also, when did Hiroshi got the Photographs, he didn't seem to have a camera when he saw the Beast.

As Build Base deals with the protest, Dogera comes out and begins to infect all the Zoo Animals with the Rage Toxin; Build Base is put on alert, showing the Beast on live camera, finally shutting down the protestors. Hiroshi and Michi leave to fight the monster. As soon they leave, Hiroshi transforms; Don and Pancho sees the duo passing by and the MechaDon follows.

The Shooter attacks the Dogera, but the Phantom shoots it down with the toxin, melting the starboard thruster, making it crash, but Jeeg kicks the monster before it could destroy the Big Shooter; Dogera grabs Jeeg by the leg and tosses him, the Robot fires Spin Storm in response, but Dogera spreads wings and takes off, firing missiles at Jeeg, one of which melts on its shoulder. Michi is able to have the Shooter back in the air, for Jeeg to call for the Mach Drills, he then takes flight to face Dogera, avoiding its missile, he then blast one of the wings off then finishes Dogera by ramming through it in with Mach Drills.

After the Battle and with the Build Base's reputation now vindicated, they fly to the Zoo to deal with the Wild Animals where they discovered Don and Pancho were able to put the situation down, by tranquilizing them. After that they all head back to the Base.
