They can do a pretty damn good bear hug.. if their victim is much smaller and weaker that is >.>;.. They have evolved into any number of different lifeforms though, they could be shaped like virtually any of the lifeforms you listed. Doubt the slime though- Their cellular composition is so unstable as it is that a sli-mander would just go splat minutes after hatching ^0^;;;
