Flower - Lost Lake Variant, Made in HeroForge
So yeah, I normally don't update on FA as often as I should, but I've been very interested in the idea of a sort of "Lost Boys of Neverland" esque world, but with some twists:
- First of all, all of the inhabitants were furries who were formerly humans and other types of creatures from different planets
- Second, once in the world, you never physically age. Most kids took FoY supplements to get to their desired age before being dropped into Lost Lake
- Also, mental aging is still a thing, so the residents of Lost Lake have impaired Right Parietal Lobes, to greatly diminish their sense of time and prevent the nihlism that comes with long lives.
- Lost Lake followed a progression similar to Earth, but once it hit the very peak of pre-industrial, the Observers who studied and guarded this plane of existence stepped in to ensure that the residents would not advance any further, as the proof of industrialization ravaging Earth was enough for them to view it as a terrible mistake to avoid being repeated.
- Gender roles are not enforced. While a large majority of the men are laborers and the women are caretakers, there have been some notable exceptions where the female is physically superior and the male is the caretaker. Some caretaker will even do side jobs as storekeepers for the various stores in the village so people can access services.
- Clothes are also not necessarily enforced by gender, but dresses are seen as highly impractical when doing laboring or exploring.
- While litterbox style toilets are a thing, the vast majority of residents prefer cloth diapers with a waterproof leather covering. They've come to accept it's more comfortable and convenient overall.
- The culture is largely unchanged for nearly 2 centuries, being reminiscent of the Wild West in appearance and mannerisms, though the actual landscape is closer to East Texas or Louisiana.
As you can see, Flower prefers a more practical outfit (though if she can get her hands on a short skirt or a onealls that cuts off at the brief line she wouldn't complain). In this universe, Flower has mostly moved on from Math and English, and is only required to partake in life skill classes. There's also an apprenticeship class, but she has already been active as an explorer. Despite this, due to said impairment of the right parietal lobe, even explorers have to use unorthodox means to navigate the swamps and hills and find their way home, usually with bright colored marbles. She's also an expert at firearms and melee combat, and is seen as one of the more eager and fiery of the explorers that she goes out with.
