So this drawing was an absolute pain in the tail trying to pose out. Like I knew what I wanted them to be doing, but it was a matter of trying to find the references. I wanted a spinning horizontal kick. I eventually found a good reference and drew it, then realized they were spinning the wrong way for what I wanted and spent another while trying to reverse how it'd look. So where most of the time the sketch takes about 20-30 minutes and then the rest is in color, for this drawing it took me almost an hour to get the pose right.


Overall, still very happy with this one. Spent a total of about 5 hours on this drawing. The only thing I have in complaint beyond not knowing if I made it clear that they were in a spin kick is not going back and fixing out the transitions. Like i did each color independently and all shading was mostly done organically with color selection rather than just large brush strokes. Downside is, as you can see on the tail, shading between colors can be a bit inconsistent.
