There were long stretches of time where life and obligations forced myself and my partner Ryuujinzero apart, and every time that he had to leave for a few months I would lie awake at night missing his voice, his smell, and his touch. Though this was an artistic freedom piece and I didn't plan for it, I cannot help but be reminded of those mixed emotions now as I look upon this wonderful illustration. Thank you for somehow capturing the quiet sadness and flickering hope for the future in those contemplative times, saf. <3
