I imagine that fire magic is one of the most difficult types to control, at least that it's easy to produce a lot of raw power but all too easy to let slip and let it rage out of control. When you're covered in feathers as well it would be rather dangerous. I expect this isn't the first time that Boris has seen this happen, so good thing he was able to intervene. Drenched plumage wouldn't be fun but at least Kree's unhurt.
