I won't post spoiler warnings on every bit of SAW art I do. If you were that concerned with the franchise, you'd have seen the 6th movie by now.
I hate what ended up happening to Hoffman in 6; it really put me off John for a while, and you know what a diehard fan of his I am.
A lot of people in the SAW fandom choose to view Hoffman as some cold, souless murdering arsehole. But I see him only as a poor, bereaved cop with emotional issues that John blackmailed and bullied into doing his bidding. He totally took advantage of the man when he was clearly in a shitty place (death of sister and all that jazz) It stripped the supposedly 'noble and moral' Jigsaw of any redeeming qualities when I saw him holding a gun to Hoffman's throat.
I only hope that, in SAW 7, there turns out to be a damn good reason for what he did to Hoffman. And if it turns out he did, indeed, intend for him to die without any way of getting out, I don't know that I can ever really call myself a Jigsaw fan anymore; it goes against everything he previously stated and stood for.
Im quite anxious about the 7th movie, and what will happen to Hoffman. My personal prediction is that he will die, but that he'll take his own life. I could be completely wrong, but I feel they HAVE to kill him off in order to put a definitive end to the series. And putting him in just another trap is kinda same old, same old. I don't WANT him to die, I WANT him to bludgeon Jill to death then dance a happy dance on her grave before wandering off into the sunset to live a lovely, normal life. But lol, SAW....nah.
Hoffman's eyes kinda were a happy accident. I did colour them as normal, then when I hid the 'colour' layer to check something, they looked kinda cool just with the background grey showing through.

Now that I've actually watched all the SAW movies back to back (lord knows how I withstood it), I totally get this picture now. I love the ruffled effect of his fur, how his whiskers are perked forward and the way you created his jaw injury. I can't do gore myself, so that's pretty cool. Also his eyes are wicked! Great picture. C: Love your Hoffman rat as I've come to like Hoffman in the films. <3

I adore Hoffman. Jigsaw used to be my obsession, and never thought I'd ever prefer an 'apprentice' to him, but Hoffman is just so damn hot. I think I kinda feel sorry for him too, as I don't think he wants to be involved in any of it :(

I feel bad 'cause it seems like he was sort of shoved/forced into this.. I mean, I don't know the character totally inside an out, but I imagine he isn't /that/ evil. Being a cop for so long and then the one to carry out Jigsaw's wishes? That's a huge change of pace. Oh, and also the poor guy had that damn trap be put on his head. :( I'm glad he escaped though.. now I really want some answers in part 7!!
