Getting bored of cel-shading huh? Now that you've kinda established it well for your style, you should take it further, or in a different direction at the same time. You could look for a more anime-style shading (like using a few more.. or even dozens of layers of shades for each colour), or try and work for the more "realistic" approach (and I use this term loosely), by setting a flat base colour, then building the shadows and highlights with Dodge/Burn tools, but the next direction you take is your choice, and always interesting to see where it leads..
