BraveHeart walked along the right side of the trail, scanning the horizon for his destination. It was only a miles walk from the outside of town, the villagers told him. Then finally, he saw it, a large cave entrance, slightly hidden behind some trees with overhanging branches. He walked up and stood before the gaping tunnel, he pulled the strap on his sword belt, ensuring it remained tight on him. He was here to slay a dragon, possibly, he was hired by the villagers who say they heard a massive dragon within this cave. So apparently massive, that they believe it to be a Feral Dragon, Dragons who have lost themselves entirety to their greed. Braveheart has faced his fair share of Feral Dragons and tougher in the past, so he wasn't exactly worried, nor was he going to let confidence get the better of him. He grabbed the handle of the blade between his teeth, drawing out as it edge gleamed in the light. With his head low to the ground, slowly stepped into the cave.
His hoof falls echo along the damp walls, from which water dripped down from the ceiling, landing on the ground and creating sounds that also echoed multiple times. Ensuring that if there was a Dragon or some other manner of creature, that Braveheart's presence was muffled. He eventually reached a large open area, the ceiling now reaching high above him, Braveheart immediately thought to himself, (Yep, something's here). He took a step forward, only to feel the ground give way, sinking below him. His reflexes quickly kick in, Braveheart jumped backwards, landing back on solid ground. He watched as the ground continued to crack all the way to the back of the room, until it eventually slowed to a halt.
He sighed heavily, thinking, (No creature with a brain would live in a death trap like this) and turned to leave. But now something caught his glance, something at the back of the room he didn't see before the floor cracked up. A strange yellowish light pierced through the cracks, leading Braveheart to believe that this might be some sorta trap to ward off meddlers like him. BraveHeart then started to press his hooves onto the floor, placing them where he didn't see cracks and removed them as they appear. Until he found what he was looking for, a single solid area he could walk, a "safe" path. He continued this process, slowly walking forwards and finding himself halfway across the room now, making sure that this path was leading him to the light.
Suddenly, a deafening roar assailed Braveheart's ears, "GHROOARRGH!!" making him leap with a gasp that set his sword free from his mouth, landing on the ground with a clatter before the ground broke under it, it and the blade disappearing before his eyes. BraveHeart landed on his firm plot hearing more of a crack then a thud as he felt himself start to sink, falling through the earth. He tried to stand on the crumbling slab beneath him and jumped up to the still stable path above, but he comes short, missing the edge by a small margin, making the only thought in his head (Shit). He fell down, drawn to a strong yellow light below him, he then looked down expecting to see a gigantic Dragon or some sort of layer at least. But instead what he saw, was a massive ravine, filled with yellow portals.
He had heard about this, places in Equestria where magic has gone wild, creating random portals that stretch out to the world and more. He quickly learned this first hoof when he immediately fell into a portal beneath him. Transported to another part of the cave before falling through another just as quick, zipping around the chasm at increasing speed. Falling through another portal he had a moment of free-fall, seeing an opportunity Braveheart closed his eyes, summoning the energy from within. Starting from his forehead, he felt his whole body tingling as the energy flowed through his muscles. His concentration was cut short by a strange wizzing sound drawing near, he opened his eyes to see his sword, spinning through the air with high velocity coming straight towards him.
Not wanting to be slashed by his own blade, Braveheart quickly turned, leaning backwards to avoid it, however he did not completely avoid it. The blade flew past him it's sharp tip easily tearing into the strap on him, it broke apart as it and the sword sheath fell off of Braveheart, falling into the darkness below. BraveHeart had no time to focus on this as another portal came into his path, falling through it he was met with a bright light, that to his dark adjusted eyes, was blinding. The last thing he saw was a large layer of brown with golden spots, then everything was black.
A young Dragon was cooking some pancakes in the School kitchen, just finishing her first one, placing it on a plate next to her when Ocellus walked into the kitchen. "Hey Smolder," the young Changling started, "whatcha up to?" She suddenly sniffed the air
"Pancakes?" She asked. "Yeah," Smolder replied, "I've kinda grown to love them." She giggled.
Ocellus looked at the already made pancake, Huh, ya'know I expected you'd like them a bit chard, being a dragon and all, heh heh, the Changling laughed nervously, realizing what exactly a comment like that ment. Smolder easily brushed the comment aside, "Nah, I like em soft, these however." She lifted a metal rod with a set of marshmallows impaled through, and she inhaled, then let out a burst of orange flame, "Ghrooarrgh!" as her flame disperse, revealing a pair of black shapes where the marshmallows used to be.
"These add a nice crunch in my opinion~" Smolder continued with a wink to Ocellus, placing the rod back down to join another with an already toasted pair of marshmallows. Finally her second cake was finished and with a flourish, tossed it onto her plate.
BraveHeart opened his eyes, his vision was lightly blurry, all he could make out was the color brown. Standing up, he collected himself, he must've passed out from the fall. Looking up, he scanned his new environment, immediately noticing the faint glow of yellow that was the portal he fell through.
"GHROOARRGH!!" The sound, startled him again, he looked to its origin. Seeing a giant orange Dragon letting loose it's flame, Braveheart ready himself, next to the Dragon was a equally as giant …. blue Changling? BraveHeart looked puzzled, he had experience size changing magic before, but he had never heard of a Changling being able to do more than transform into other Ponies and absorbing love. He decided to take a better look around the room, despite its massive size, still looked like an ordinary kitchen to him. He quickly came to the conclusion that the portal must've altered his size when he went through, and judging from the orange Dragon's actions, the sound she just made must've traveled through the portal and increased in volume.
Looking down, he noted that what he was on was a pancake, he decided to get off it before anything bad happens. This idea, however, was cut short as he noticed the Dragon tossing another disc of cake in his direction. Knowing he would not be fast enough to get away in time, (at least in this form) he stood up on his hind legs, lifting his hooves up above his head to catch the pancake. Once again drawing on the power within him, as it seemed to have never left, even while he was out cold. Then from the tips of his hooves, a thin layer of red energy began to envelope him, expanding all over his body, even over his eyes which made his vision tinted slightly red. As the pancake fell upon him, he was confident in his strength, knowing that he would catch it. His strength however, would prove to be too strong, instead of catching the fluffy slab his shield tore through the soft texture. Instead of flattening him, now the pancake trapped him from all sides as his hooves and head popped out the top, his eye twitching due to the ridiculous situation he found himself in.
He attempted to pull himself up out of the warm bread, but his hooves only tore in more, causing him to sink even further. "Damnit…" he said under his breath, as he suddenly notice that the Dragon was now placing the burned marshmallows around him, and a column of syrup fell from the sky. It splashed across the surface of the cake, nearly reaching him, the Dragon then sat down in front of the plate of cake.
From Braveheart's current perspective, she was massive, and even he felt a tug of fear as she prepped a knife and fork. Bringing the knife down, she easily cut through the soft texture, and then again to make a small triangle. And Braveheart sighed, as he quickly saw, that he was in the middle of that section.
Everything shook for Braveheart as she started to lift the section off the plate, bringing closer to her face, Braveheart yelled out, "HEY! DON'T YOU NOTICE YOU HAVE A HOLE IN YOUR BREAKFAST!?.!"
But his words didn't seem to reach her, as she opened her mouth. Rows of sharp teeth lined the sides of the wet cavern, her tongue lulled out like a red velvet carpet, and behind those, a dark abyss awaiting to send her food down into her stomach.
BraveHeart knew there was something he could do to get out of this situation, but he was drawing a blank for what it was, so he stared blankly ahead as the Dragon's maw closed around him. It was a familiar feeling for him, the humid air blasting in his face, the wet saliva that went through his armor and sunk into his fur, and the tongue, the way it wrapped and squeezed him and the slice of cake. He had experienced this far more times he could count, and he hated it, it was the worst feeling. Although he didn't have to experience it for long this time, as he already felt himself sliding down towards the back of the throat, to that dark abyss. With a loud "GULP!!" that reverberated through him, he was sent down the esophagus, hearing the familiar heartbeat. Until eventually, he was pushed through a tight opening, him and the slice of cake splashing in a slight pool of gastric juices.
Smolder savoured that first bite as she swallowed it down, something about it was just so special to her, but as she was preparing another slice to savour.
"Uh, hey Smolder," Ocellus spoke up, "ya'know first period is in less than five minutes, right?"
"Wah!" Smolder exclaimed, looking up at the clock, seeing that there was less than three minutes until class. "Oh, shoot!!" She shouted as she lifted the plate over her head, using the fork to shovel it into her mouth, gulping it down frantically. Before slamming the now empty plate down, "Let's go!" She said as she stood up.
For a moment Braveheart was able to stand up, until suddenly a tidal wave of sticky bread fell upon him, piling on top of him. As Braveheart tried to calm himself, he found that he couldn't, he would not stand for this humiliation. "RrrrAGHH!!" he extended his power outward, forcing the pile of to the sides of the stomach. Breathing heavily, he then looked up, able to make out the tight ring of flesh that was the entrance to this pit of death. Now with the time to concentrate, he used his energy to form some wings of sorts, it floated near his back. He then began to exert pressure from these wings as he lifted himself out of the pool, flying up to the entrance and attempted to pull it open, with no luck. He glided down a bit, towards the center of the chamber, "No choice, sorry bout this miss."
He then extended his hooves to either side of him, focusing his energy once again,he felt his armor extend too, no longer fitting his form and slowly transmogrified into a sphere. He then breathed in,
"hrrrrrrrrrrrrraaaaaaAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!"
As he cried out, he pushed the sphere outwards, slamming it into the sides of the walls as the writhe against the pressure being forced upon them.
As Smolder began to walk towards the kitchen door, she suddenly felt a strange pressure from her stomach, making her gasp, causing her to drop the fork as she grabbed on to her belly. "What's wrong?!" Ocellus quickly ran to her side with a shocked expression. "I don't-" was all Smolder could say until something quickly escaped her stomach and rised up her throat.
"Come on, do it already!" BraveHeart grunted as he watch the entrance, "Hrrraahh" he gave one last push until finally, the entrance opened widely, sucking up the air in the chamber. BraveHeart dropped the sphere, allowing me the stomach to return to its natural position, and with great speed, flew through the opening. Following the pocket of air all the way back up the Dragon's throat, as he then saw a light.
"Brooarrph!!!" Smolder shuddered at the violent release of air from within her, although as soon as it was done, she no longer felt the pressure in her.
"Huh, guess I swallowed to much air?" She said, slightly sarcastically. "It's because you ate it so fast, plus I heard that pancakes have a ton of air bubbles in them so that could explain it." Ocellus quickly retorted. "Yeah yeah, whatevs." Smolder leaned her head back with a bored expression. Suddenly a loud ringing could be heard from above. "Crap! We're late!" Smolder exclaimed as she rushed out to the hallway, taking flight. "Hey! Wait up!" Ocellus followed.
Watching them leave Braveheart sighed, looking back to the portal he came in from, going towards it.
He would have to tell the villagers the truth about the cave, then have an expert come deal with the portals, and before all of that he needed a bath. He wouldn't tell what had actually happened to anypony or anything for that matter. Just another thing Nobody needs to know.
The End.
