I am in love with "How to Train Your Dragon" and its main dragon character, Toothless. I love it so much that I created my own dragon, an albino Night Fury that I call the Dawn Specter.
Here is my plush of my beloved Specter who comes out to about 18" long from nose to tail. I found an interesting fabric to use for him - a stretch material that has a thin plastic layer sealed onto it. I have no idea what it's called. I stuffed him with rice and cotton, so he's like a bean bag. The eyes are Sculpey and painted with acrylics.
I saved the pattern that I made for Specter, so if there is any desire for it, let me know and I'll try to remember to post it. No promises. I don't think I will be making another like him for quite some time seeing how this one alone took upwards of eighteen hours of hand stitching.
By the by, I know this is my version of fan fiction, so I have no rights to the Night Fury design, but please let me know if you plan on reproducing the Dawn Specter. Thanks a bunch.

i want to make one! im learning to sew and plushies are some of the starter practices im getting into..ill never want to do clothes but ill be doing plushies and stockings for family and friends. id love to learn how to make your plushie with the designs. if you dont want to share it publicly on the sites, you can always send me a note to a pic of it?? or even note me so i can send you my email and you can send it that way?anyway i love the work and your skills are awesome, let me know if i can get the designs to learn to make my own :3.
It's not a problem to make a copy of my patern, but be warned, it's not professional. I sat there looking at the original drawings of Toothless and tried my best to make something that looked like him. I'll write myself a note to trace out what I've got and send it over. Or I just might post it. We'll see. Thanks for the interest and good luck!
I would, but there would be a few problems with that: copyright laws and time. This little guy took a very long time to complete - something like 14-18 hours (I lost track) of which I don't have a whole lot of. Mass producing them might be easier with a sewing machine, but I don't have that handy, either. Oh well. I'll put the pattern up and my fans can have free rein.
