This is my entry for Mehalena's contest. The idea was to depict our characters singing... anything but rap.

I may have embellished a little bit. I do hope that it's okay.

Song is the Phantom of the Opera version released by Nightwish. Mostly written in the past... ten hours or so. I've really needed the break to just... go crazy... after having to write shitty papers about pseudoscience and Anti-Semitism for the past three weeks... and I've got another six to write, after the nine I've penned so far.

I love the passion of music... and I really hope I've managed to capture it here. Even if I don't come away with the prize, I hope this piece pleases everyone.

And to Mehalena herself: I do hope I haven't taken too many liberties with your character. I admit, I hadn't really picked the song until... well, until our characters did, in the story... and even then, I had a huge fight about it with myself before deciding what we should sing. ^///^ And I really hope you like it, of course.

If anyone has problems reading it, please try downloading first. I can try uploading it as a .txt later, but it would require a lot of effort to convert all the punctuation over, so I'd prefer not to have to, if I can.
