There is an old adage that I’m sure many are aware of but sometimes forget; and that is: “don’t judge a book by its cover” or “looks can be deceiving”. While I can think of a few characters in the roster that can embody that adage perfectly, one such person would undoubtedly be Kamala! While most would look at her soul shroud and think she is nothing more than a promiscuous harem girl; you would be a fool to approach her with the preconception that she would be an easy target. You must remember, that despite her appearance, Kamala is STILL an Apostle, a guardian and slayer of demons! Despite being one of the groups designated healers, Kamala is by no means unqualified for combat, as she is more than capable of dispatching most enemies with little effort! Possessing the grace of a floating lotus and the deadliness of a striking serpent, Kamala can deliver strikes with frightening precision, all the while moving with the finesse and allure of a captivating dance. An interesting thing to note is Kamala’s unconventional training as she did not learn the art of combat like many of the other Apostles! When Kamala’s soul split from her body as a result of her power, her body endured the corruption of almost becoming a shadow due to her anger reaching peak levels; however, without a soul, her body was merely an empty vessel filled with perpetual rage. Kamala’s soul, though without a body, was still cognizant of her surroundings and managed to gain more knowledge and enlightenment upon realizing just how wrong she was in life; which effectively strengthened her spiritual power. Kamala’s body, despite acting on instinct, gained much combat experience due to the amount of people who challenged her in an attempt to stop her. This continued fighting conditioned Kamala’s body and caused her to gain great experience and combative knowledge, as if her body had a mind of its own and was continuously learning from each battle. When both body and soul reunited, Kamala retained the knowledge that both sides possessed, allowing her to successful weave various new techniques and retrain her old animalistic combat form into a more elegant fighting style. Here we have Kamala slicing away at a horde of vile shadows, treating them all to an alluring spectacle while delivering them to a swift death; a flurry of graceful slashes punctuating each of her tantalizing movements. *TRIVIA: Kamala is the first character whose appearance was drastically changed due to the influence of their own power, the other character is Adelita, another feline. Alsara doesnt count in this regard as it was due to outside influence that changed her appearance.
