Rocket was on his way to meet up with The Collector to recieve a bounty he acquired for him, what Rocket didn't know is that the REAL bounty was him. As soon as he realized his pay was inexistant, The Collector threw a bola at Rocket which tied him up with strong carbon ropes. Rocket has been deemed a "precious asset" that The Collector wants to keep for himself, he threw Rocket inside a cube cell and set it to be kept at his throne's side.
