Batch 471-A, or Atla as she came to call herself, started as an individual section of infested mass found aboard an ancient Orokin derelict in the Oort cloud of the origin system. When found, her mass weighed only 2.3 kilograms in its entirety, and was guarded by a pack of feral Kavats that claimed the derelict as home, as well as another strain of infestation. After much experimentation and careful cultivation, her mass increased, and returned to a "healthy" state, with a unique teal glow, unseen from any other infested specimen. Eventually, she gained enough mass to take a larger, more solid form, after which, she began to speak of her past.

Atla is a "Vome" class helminth. Her strains were used primarily for utility, maintenance, and some peace keeping. Unlike her "Fass" cousins, her strain is not as virile and prone to unfettered growth. Her original purpose was as the repair and neural sentry of an Orokin exploration vessel, which is something she proudly flaunts. Due to Orokin influence, she always carries herself with dignity, wearing robes and almost gliding as she walks. The primary form she takes is that of a Kavat, similar to the ones that protected her when she was an orphaned mass. This primary form is 2.4 meters tall, and can sport various tails and details depending on her mood. However, her robes are usually constant, as well as her ears, tufts, and eye color.

Her solid form however, is not always maintained; and though she is not a "Fass mind" she is fully capable of combat. She can convert herself to use her infested mass in a more combative role, growing chitinous plates, and becoming far more vicious looking in an attempt to intimidate foes. Her right arm is a powerful tendril, that can be used to swipe and unbalance enemies, or drag them closer for more attacks. Her jaws are powerful and can unhinge wide, fully capable of removing large pieces from humanoid foes. Her tail can also be morphed to be an extremely sharp stinger, capable of injecting potent venoms or technocytes into enemies. She is fully capable of infesting others and bending their bodies to her will, using them as thralls in combat, though she disdains this tactic. She's also capable of reducing herself simply to infested mass in order to move through an environment unhindered, and more easily take over other beings.
