If you're facing a hostile Muton Berserker you really don't want to allow them to get too close to you, though even if you are fast and agile like a Kig-Yar eventually you will tire. Jeic-Al definitely won't be getting free and that's probably not even close to B27 exerting full strength which would shatter bones rather easily. Still perhaps B27 is offering Jeic the chance to make the sensible choice and surrender.

B27 doesn't wanna destroy Jeic if it's not necessary, so she's just squeezing him a little bit. Maybe he'll find a way to get out and retaliate-!
