You're probably wondering what happened w/ the family in Ride City. Well, luckily, things were going a lot better for them compared to what had happened in Silph City. For starters, Buckley had grown quite a bit, to the point where he was now a child and he could even talk now! He now wore a black shirt w/ a pink face that looked kind of like l _ l. His shirt was closer to Grey's in terms of how plain it was, but Buckley didn't mind. He also wore brown shorts and black sneakers to go w/ it. Finally, he wore a detective's hat. This last one was because Buckley grew to like watching detective shows all thanks to Asmodeus. As such, he was pretty savvy when it came to anything that involved clues, mysteries, etc. Buckley ended up being very much beloved by the rest of the household, though his detective antics could be a bit much at times. Next up, there was Azrael and Asmodeus. Their normal day-to-day lives weren't all that different from before. Azrael still worked at the Mcdonald's alongside Grey and Asmodeus was still a bum that simply stuck around, using the TV and being the weirdo he was known for being. The only thing was, though, Buckley was now a child and that made Asmodeus' life a bit more interesting. At some point, Buckley grew an interest in the mystery shows that Asmodeus liked to watch. As Buckley grew, he and Asmodeus would watch and debate each mystery, having fun arguing and discussing each clue, which characters were the best and worst respectively, etc. It was great! When it came to Grey and Cedric, their lives were largely the same as before. Grey was still Azrael's co-worker, and Cedric was still an unofficial Freelancer (for those wondering, Cedric didn't always do Freelance work. Sometimes, he'd do odd jobs, just so that he could make some extra cash). The only things that were different now were that, for one, Grey didn't have to breastfeed Buckley anymore, and two, Grey got his tubes tied. Cedric was the one that pushed this as he didn't want to deal w/ more kids. At first, after the surgery, Grey felt horrible! His insides felt like they were being squeezed, he felt pretty nauseous at first, and finally, he just felt an overall sadness he couldn't explain! During this time, Grey and Cedric couldn't exactly do much together as Grey felt pretty awful. Luckily, though, this didn't last for too long (though, especially for Grey, it felt like forever), and, eventually, Grey and Cedric could do stuff together again. Next, there was Drake, Andrew, and Chompy. Ever since that last kiss that Drake had given Andrew, their relationship had only strengthened afterward over time. This was mostly because of Drake and Chompy's slow personality changes. For Drake, it was subtle at first, but over time, he gradually began to become a bit more relaxed and more... happy? Neither Drake nor Andrew could explain it, but Drake seemed to grow a bit more carefree as time went on. He even went as far as to smile again, much to Andrew's delight. That wasn't to say that Drake wasn't still severely depressed, as sometimes, he'd get so sad that he could barely even get up in the morning. Whenever this happened, Andrew would patiently stay by his side along w/ Buckley and they'd coax him out of bed. As for Chompy, he gained more of an attitude and became more talkative. He would let out his thoughts more often, learned more things about the world, and he became a bit sassier compared to before. As such, everyone else (except for Grey, Buckley, Asmodeus, and Drake) found him kind of annoying. They still loved him of course, but even still. As for Buckley's relationship w/ Andrew, Drake, and Chompy, he saw them all as his brothers, though he found it weird how Andrew and Drake were so intimate w/ each other. While Buckley also had a good relationship w/ his parents, Grey and Cedric, he felt closer to Andrew, Drake, Chompy, and Asmodeus as they hung out w/ him more. Next up, there was Alter and Drake's human form. Drake's human form wasn't used as much anymore as it was discovered during a mission that Drake could use his human powers in his monster form and vice versa. As a result, Drake spent much more time in his monster form as that was his preferred form. For Alter, even he opted to appear less often. While he would talk to Drake sometimes as well as to others, he seemed to be less present compared to before. Maybe it was because Natas was gone, maybe it was because of Drake's personality change, nobody could be certain. All the same, Alter simply wasn't there as much. As for their friends, Gasper and Gwen, nothing much had really changed. For Gasper, he was still his jerk self w/ the soft interior. For Gwen, she and Isabella were in a good relationship, and Gwen was still a homie for everyone. Finally, there were the Freelancers and they encountered along w/ Grey and Cedric. For how the Freelancers were doing, it was the same old, same old. The only interesting things were that Cherry and Polychrome Benjamin worked part-time for parties (for Cherry, she did two kinds of parties *wink* *wink*, and Polychrome Ben did fun parties). For Ash, he worked part-time as a freelance model. Aside from that, though, they didn't have much going on. The weird part, though, was something everyone had encountered except for Drake and Andrew. They had all encountered a creature that, for some reason, looked like how Drake used to before Natas' essence had infected him! Andrew and Drake were told about this, and they were rightfully confused and unsure about this. It couldn't have been Natas as Drake had killed him a while ago, and plus, the way the creature had been described, he seemed like a pretty good, albeit strange person. He was also attached to a guy that had black and brown hair. While Andrew and Drake were concerned about this, unfortunately, they didn't know where the guy was. As for miscellaneous things, first was Drake's attire. Andrew finally managed to get him something big to wear! It was a big, magenta hoodie that didn't have a zipper. While it was kind of pricey and it took a while to come in, but Andrew didn't care. When Andrew presented the gift to Drake, the latter was understandably reluctant as he'd discarded his old, brown hoodie (though Andrew did pick it up from the hospital and kept it in a box under the bed just like how Grey did to his own hoodie). In a rare instance, Alter came out and coaxed Drake into accepting it w/ Chompy's help. Eventually, Drake caved and slipped the clothing on. He ended up sadly liking it, though, as the hoodie felt very comfy, like a big old hug. Drake, of course, had to pull up the bottom part so that Chompy could be exposed. As for the second thing, Buckley sometimes sat in Chompy's mouth. It sounds weird, but Buckley, for some reason liked to simply sit in Chompy whenever he played or watched TV. It wasn't exactly harmful or anything, but it was weird for everyone, except for Buckley, but especially for Chompy. Overall, though, things had gotten much better. Things, however, got more interesting on the next Saturday that came in that December...
