So I did some digital doodling the other day as inspired by some minor personal projects, and what was originally supposed to be the vector-graphic equivalent to a thirty-second scribble turned into this three-hour project that produced some neat custom Pokeball designs. I'm quite proud of my design for the band in the middle there, though, with the clear space around the black part.
And don't ask about Eve and Sparkie; They're just cute names for an Eevee and a Pikachu, respectively, not actual characters that we'll ever see art of. Still, I'm proud of the designs, and am considering taking some time to do custom pokeballs more often in the future. Making these was super relaxing, gave me the chance to practice and learn some about fundamental color theory, and let me play with abstracting character designs a bit. Maybe I'll do some surprise adoptables like this sometime; make a handful of custom pokeball designs, and have people adopt the character within. I've seen that done with color palettes before; I'm sure there are a few people out there who'd love to do that.
