A very different but fun commission for me. This is a commissioned piece for the Author of the webnovel "Chrysalis", RinoZ (which you can read for free[!] on Royal Road: https://www.royalroad.com/fiction/22518/chrysalis ).

I'd drawn a quick little fanart sketch of one of the characters, as I've personally enjoyed the novel quite a lot, and they ended up commissioning me for a free-reign commission of any scene of my choosing from the novel, as I imagined it. As such, it's not necessarily 100% cannon as they gave me complete free reign and the characters don't have any existing official artwork for this stage of the story, so it was all based on my interpretation of the story and the characters. However, this was my first time pretty much getting to draw "official" fanart in a commission setting, for a story that I'm actually familiar with beforehand, which was pretty dang awesome.

And yes, the main character is a very shiny diamond plated ant.
