Ah good! It’s always sad to see someone’s starter die, I work in a bake shop up here and we double loads of sourdough starter every day and we let people take some home and make their own. Half of them fail sadly because they didn’t know they needed to let it breathe so I’m glad yours is working :)
Oh wow I didn't know you could potentially ask a bakery for some sourdough starter! That would be amazing. I've actually had this one for about 6 months now I think. I have a second one that's a different mixture as well. The one on the counter here used to be the same as the other but I wanted to try some experimentation with it regarding feeding and keeping it out instead of in the fridge
