Exactly, nobody even pulls a gun out in downtown, there are trigger-happy cops with the 15 minute 'anti-terrorist' training mandated by Homeland Security rules everywhere. Lot's of banks, lots of upscale stores, lots of wealthy (and therefore 'worth saving') people in downtown, so it's well-protected.

As far as Hizzonah da Maya is concerned, the rest of the city can rot, as long as he can keep Downtown as his little 'Emerald City.'

I was in Downtown Chicago yesterday for the Furtopian Aquarium Crawl when we finished with that and were heading to the Sears (willis) Tower. We passed one of the filming areas. Saw some vehicles out there that could have been Transformers, but no one was filming and people on the lot were just standing around. They also filmed some sequence of a 'bot falling off the top of the Sears. But dunno which one or what side it was on as I missed the sequence.

I tried to take a pic of the street scene we walked past, but didn't have a good angle and it came out blurry. So that was deleted.

Nice! Though I don't like the movies, watching them film the explosions and stuff must've been cool. ^^
